In case the title didn't give it away this isn't going to be some girly blog. Lots of things have gone on in the last few months, work has been crazy, one of my good friends got hitched, another is about to give birth to her first spawn soon, others are getting divorced, planning a wedding or trying to figure out what the next step of their lives are.
A few others have disappeared off the fucking map.
W.T.F? I kind of have a problem with this.. Makes me feel kind of not important enough to call or send a text or leave a love note on my Facebook wall. Some of them will hang out with people we know even though they bitch and complain that they fight too much or what have you. WHY? Why do you do this to yourself? I mean, seriously.. From now on if you are going to hang out with people that you're just going to complain to me about later don't bother.. I don't want to hear it.
Now maybe I'm too quick to just drop people (ok.. I kind of am and trust me, it has bitten me in my ass more than once and no manner of apologizing or groveling was enough to rekindle those friendships). I'll occasionally get a text from said friends asking where have I been or why am I hiding blah blah fucking blah.. Newsflash.. I'm a mom.. A SINGLE mom at that and I don't have time really to go out and do shit but when I DO I'd like to think you would jump at the chance to hang out with me especially when I've been accused of dropping off the radar. Nothing really irks me more than a text saying "I miss you when can we hang out?" and then when I say "Oh.. well I'm kid free on this weekend or that" and you say "can't hang out that weekend" and "can't you just get a sitter?" Nope I can't. I cherish every second with my kids and getting a sitter just isn't an option for me. Some of them understand this and the ones that don't... well there's not much I can do about that now is there?
Friendship is a two way street as I always say. I know I have kind of a lot of stuff going on but honestly a chance to talk about someone else's shit other than mine is a good thing. That's what friends are for after all. My plate may be full but I've ALWAYS got time for my friends. More than once I've dropped what I was doing or scrapped plans just to help someone I love and care about out. Sadly I can't really say that the same thing has been done for me. In reality I can count on one hand the number of friends who have dropped what they are doing to give me a hand. Its been kind of the opposite especially with how crazy my life has been for the last 14 months. Among all that crazyness the ones I thought that would have my back and be there when I needed a shoulder to cry on or just a distraction were no where to be found. In fact in a few cases I was blown off or just out right ignored. I can't even begin to tell you how much that hurt my feelings. The sad thing is that when I did point it out they didn't get it. The people that were there for me had only been in my life for not even 2 years (and the 2 that I have known for 10 years) and pulled through for me. With that being said... I'll get off the poor me crap cause, really, I'm getting sick of my own whining and well lets face it.. I ramble and make absolutely no fricking sense.
Now for the semi mushy shizz:
There was one person in particular who pulled me through all of that emotional crazy shit.. Through every meltdown, anxiety attack and talked me through every thought of self doubt I had that I was doing the right thing and that was Sarah. More than once she would bully me into going to her house, making me dinner or dragging me out to be social so I wasn't sitting at home alone causing my self more stress by worrying over shit I had no control over. If it wasn't for her and to a lesser degree the ex hubs I'd have probably totally lost my shit. I know that she's going through stuff right now too. This time of year just fucks people up all kinds. I should know cause I'm a mild basketcase myself right now. Hopefully she remembers that I always have time for her no matter what I've got going on. (loves you)
In the last 4 or 5 months the two that have been supportive are Geneva and Tara. They are fun and I adore their kids and my kids absolutely love them. Its a good thing. I'm glad I have them in my life.
And then there's Darci... I'm thankful for her for more reasons than I have time to write.
I love you girls.
I'm grateful beyond words for the support that I had through what I had to deal with and for the residue that's left over. I'll never be able to vocalize that properly. Not in a way that will convey it in a way I want to.
awww.. ok... nice way to end this right? Till next time peeps..

The Shoe blog!!
Yes I realize I'm late in getting this up but what can you do? Read on of course!
As some of you know I'm a member of Shoedazzle.com. LOVE. THIS. SITE!! Serious.. its a bit of a problem for me honestly and the problem is I need more money to get shoes from here. I haven't gotten a totally sucky pair from here yet. The prices are good and the quality of the shoes are pretty amazing for how inexpensive they are. The only complaint I have is that the shoes could use a little more cushion. I bought Mirage which is the Mel B. (Scary Spice from the Spice Girls) and while its a great shoe the cushion at the ball of the foot is weird!! Fortunately it can be fixed with one of those little ball of the foot cushion thingys. I haven't even worn them out yet. I guess I should do that soon! ha..
My favorite pair by far which I've worn out more than any of the others is the Jenny McCarthy designed Fearless. I. LOVE. THEM. Super comfy and ridiculously sexy.. The newest pair I got which I actually wore to work thinking I'd break them in and if my feet killed me by the end of the day well that would be ok is the Solara.. OMG these are GREAT!! The little ankle strap comes off if I don't want to wear it. These remind of the classic 50's style shoe. I will be wearing these tomorrow night for sure.
Here's the great thing about shoedazzle.. You don't have to buy a pair of shoes every month if you don't want too. You can skip the month and your card won't be charged. If you decide to join let me know.. I'll send you an invite (I want the points hehe).
Here's a picture of the shoes I have so far from them (minus one cause its in the car and its too cold and I'm too lazy to go out and get it). Sorry its kind of a crap picture but you get the idea. I can always post individual ones if you want to see them up close.
My next couple of blogs will probably be reviews on a couple of palettes I just got from Urban Decay (NAKED2) and Too Faced (Sweet Dreams). I want to use them a little bit more before I write one up though. I think I'll also do just an Urban Decay blog since I seem to have a lot of that brand for some weird reason. :)

A haircut
Ok I lied.. This blog isn't about shoes. Man I'm fired... Not really cause then who would write a buncha wacky shit for you to read??
I'm the worst at remembering to get my haircut. I make an appointment after I've gone in and gotten a cut only to cancel it later or have it cancelled by whoever I'm going to see because something came up or there was a scheduling conflict. The former usually is my fault. I'm busy what do you want from me?
I have a crapton of hair.. Really its ridiculous. I batter the junk out of it. Color, blow dry, flat iron, curling iron, hot rollers its crazy. I always feel better though once its had some TLC...
My friend Darci has recommended Jen at Ahshe Salon a few times and after not being able to get in to see one of the other two guys, I asked her if Jen was still at Ahshe and lucky me she was! I made an appointment. Darci has always had such good things to say about her so I figured why the hell not. Luckily she had an opening so in I went. She's great! I was in and out in about an hour. I kinda hate it when haircuts take too long.
Here's the before and after if you're interested.. In case you didn't know, I make weird faces when I'm having my picture taken (especially if I'm the one taking it) and it usually takes me a few tries to get take one that I don't look like a total dipshit in. Comments are welcome.. Just be gentle. :)
I look just thrilled don't I??
and after! Jen's pretty amazing!
Till next time peeps!

Did someone say Oily Skin??
I have the worst oily skin ever.. Seriously its like an oil slick its disgusting. I was surfing the youtube a month ago or so just checking out tutorials and I stumbled across a video called HOW TO: STOP OILY SKIN!! (link below) and in it the guy talks about using Milk of Magnesia.. I'm listening to him talk thinking wth? That's just weird.. But I figured what do I have to lose? I've tried everything else so why not and guess what? It fricking works.. As a little bonus I haven't had the premenstrual breakout either. Rad right?? Here's what you do.. Put a thin layer of the M.O.M on your face (after you've washed your face of course) and let it dry, rinse it off with warm water and put on whatever make up you're going to wear for the day. I swear it works. I was having to blot my face 6 or 7 times a day and now I'm down to maybe twice.. Cool right? Give it a try.. you won't be sorry.

Another couple of things I've been using in the battle of the oil is the Urban Decay Deslick spray. I like it because it makes your make up stay and it doesn't fade or oxidize during the day if you do happen to be a little oily. Its kinda pricey ($29) but well worth the price cause the bottle lasts a while even if you use it every day. I got a little sample of this stuff called Skin Perfection Gel. A little goes a long way and it just helps smooth out your skin before putting on your foundation. I've used it for a few days and I will totally buy a bigger jar of this stuff. It makes my pores smaller and acts a little like a primer also I think. I'll write an update once I've used it a little more.
Last but not least I use the Olay regenerist face wipes to clean off my make up and the regenerist cream face wash to wash my face. I really like it. The wipes get off all the make up and the face wash makes my face feel nice and the anti-aging crap that's in it is just a little bonus. Lets face it (haha.. face it get it??) we aren't getting any younger and I know I can use all the help I can get. For break out I've been using (I use it on Reese too actually) the Clean & Clear advantage acne spot treatment. I LOVE THIS STUFF!! Works great to get rid of any nasty pimples that crop up.
I think I've bored you enough for now.. I promise my next blog will be about something awesome.. SHOES!!!
Till next time!
